Praha Day 2, 2009-11-27

Franz Mittermayr, Sightseeing, Tschechische Republik Hlavní Mesto Praha

Second day of sightseeing in Prague.

Starting at our hotel near the main train station we head rather indirectly to Prague Castle which is situated on a hill high above the city. After climbing up this hill we enjoyed the great architecture of Prague Castle and the breathtaking view of the city.

Walking along vine yards we see Prague from many magnificent perspectives. The next hill we went up to has a huge Metronome on it's top which was designed for a World fair. Down again we crossed the river Vltava and headed towards the National Museum and the Opera.

After having lunch we continued our trip towards the telecommunication tower. We were a bit disappointed when we saw this tower. Although the view from it's top seems to be extraordinarily, nobody was even near this tower. So we decided not to go up as well.

We headed back to the river and crossed it again to walk along the river 'till we reached Charles Bridge again.

Through the city passing the state opera at night we went back to our hotel.
