Logged from Pigeon Key, FL to mainland Marathon, one way.
Track is on top of old US-1 (Overseas Highway) which is on top of old Flagler Rail line. The surface is asphalt. There are many small trip hazards along the bridge where the expansion joints were covered with asphalt. They make the jaunt more fun by foot than by bike. This portion of the bridge is somewhat maintained, but the other portion of the line (unaccessible, except for the daring) is sprouting plants and falling into the water. Pause along the way to check out the shallow waters for sharks and rays! No fee is required on the bridge.
