18 mile cycle from Newbury town centre to Kintbury via Woolton hill. On a road bike
Short Route, quite hilly and mostly on the Road. Cycling through lots of country lanes (the tarmac's not great in places!).
At Kintbury there's a pub by the trainstation/ Canal. Check opening times first though.
I came back along the towpath for a little while which I woudlnt do again on my 1980's Racer 700C wheels.
I took qutie a few breaks picking blackberries on the way.
Newbury, could always get the train there.
