With the Mariazellerbahn from St. Pölten main station to Mariazell

The famous Mariazellerbahn is a narrow-gauge railway from St. Pölten to Mariazell. Remarkable is the fact that it was the first completely electrified railway in Austria.

The trip from St. Pölten to Mariazell is quite long (~2.5h) but the nice panoramas are worth the time. Traveling with the Mariazellerbahn is not really something that I would describe as "comfortable" since the whole train is shaking all the time
