From home its onto the Canal network around Brownhills for some fun, all the way to Pelsall and back!
It all starts with a big climb up to the canal but once on the canal is relatively straight forward. Barracks Lane, next to Midwest Motor Factors is a good start point.
From here go up the hill towards the A5, turning left at the roundabout and up another climb until reaching the canal bridge. Once on the canal turn left and continue past the Anchor pub, turning right at the next canal junction. This winds its way through Brownhills and follows the Lichfield Road until Pelsall. Once in Pelsall i turned around and headed home (as i had to be at work soon after).
The return leg was via the road, following the Lichfield Road into Brownhills and then onto the edge of Holland Park, emerging on the A5 by Oakenhayes Road. Cross over and head back towards Barracks Lane, but turn right at the lights and rejoin the canal. Another 500m or so along here brings you out at the bridge where we joined the canal earlier, and from here its a carbon copy of the beginning of the road home!
