Sightseeing in Dresden

Starting at the main train station we head up the "Prager Straße" towards the city center. There, in front of the Philharmonie we really begin the sightseeing trip by passing the Frauenkirche (maybe Dresden's most famous building) which we also saw from the inside.

After having lunch near the Frauenkirche we cross the river Elbe to have a closer look at it. Unfortunately I tried to pose for a very fancy photo and didn't see a wave coming, and so my feet got all wet :).

Walking further into the northern part of the city with wet feet we saw "Dresden new". Rather unspectacular and boring.

We crossed the Elbe again on another bridge and walked 'till we reached the Semper Oper and the palace of Dresden.

After having a delicious coffee and cake we went back to the main train station.
