Beginning at the border between North Carolina and South Carolina, following the Ridgeline Trail northeast until it ends near the peak of the Pinnacle Trail, continuing along Pinnacle until it ends at the park office. It's difficult to begin at this location (a petroleum pipeline) unless you hike there. (i.e., out-and-back
