Aiguille du Midi + Helbronner + Brévent

Chamonix Mont-Blanc... I guess since the first Olympic Winter Games (1924) in history took place here it is broadly known as THE skiing resort in France. The french St. Moritz if you want.

We start our tour as soon as we arrive at Chamonix Mont-Blanc train sation. From there we take a little walk to Place de l'Aiguille du Midi to the ground station of the Téléphérique de l'Aiguille du Midi,(Aiguille du Midi cable car). Aiguille du Midi is a mountain with 3842m altitude and the emblem of Chamonix. We reached the top with the cable car and as soon as we reached the upper station, we took the elevator to the top (3€, or free if you have a Mont-Blanc Multipass).

From Aiguille du Midi we took the Panoramic Mont-Blanc telecabin to get to the border to Italy, the Pointe Helbronner. From up there we had a breathtaking few of the Mont-Blanc, the Aiguille du Midi, glaciers and valleys in Italy (weather permitting!)

Back in Chamonix we crossed the town to get to another cable car, to reach the mountain Brévent where we would have had a great view of the Chamonix valley and the Mont-Blanc massif, but unfortunately it was very cloudy that day.
